Alyssa is my funniest child. She cannot find her "thing". She has tried soccer, horse back riding, ice skating, dancing, and gymnastics. This spring she decided gymnastics was DEFFINATELY her thing. Hip Hip Hooray! Off to the gym we ran to sign her up. Alyssa performed like a rock star. She tried out for the competitive team. Made the level 3 team. Decided maybe she'd like to try something new please.
I'm just glad she told me before I had to pay the big buck to let her compete. Otherwise like it or not, 4th grade would have been a gymnastics year.
Alyssa is also a lucky duck. Even though we were extremely late for soccer sign-ups and she spent a week on a waiting list, she got placed on a team and had her first practice Monday. She loved the coach and says she SUPER SURE soccer is her thing.
Only time will tell.
