Logan

My baby boy is growing up on me :( He is a sweetheart.
Two days before my TaVaci concert (December 17) I took him into the doctor for an ear infection. Double ear infection actually. Just after the first of the year I took him back, still infected. Another antibiotic. This Tuesday when I took Emma Grace in I asked them to check his as well, double infection! The child is an angel. He doesn't fever, stay up all night, or cry. This time they decided to try a super strong injectable antibiotic. It's an owie one because its really thick so they have to use a fat needle and put it in really slow. The doctor told me that he would most likely limp for a few days. It was so sad. Logan is usually really easy to console after he gets shots. This one was a whole different story. He cried and cried. We had to hang out at the doctors office for twenty minutes after they gave him the shot to make sure he wouldn't have a reaction to the meds. He was a very unhappy little guy. But by that afternoon he was his happy little self again. The kicker of the story is that he had to do the whole thing the next day and the day after that. Three days in a row I had to watch my baby go through that. Everyday the nurse would appologize and tell me that this is the worst shot she has to give.
The last day I told the doctor that I wanted a referal to an ENT. That I needed to have someone else check him out. She kindof gave me the run around about how he hadn't had more than 6 ear infections in a year and that they wouldn't do anything for me. I informed her that I would like to take my chances and that I would like a perdiatric doctor who in affiliated with Scottish Rite. She looked at me and said, "Logan is not your first child is he?" "No, he's not." "O.K., I'll get the referal and I think you're making a good choice." What was all the run around for? Can you imagine what it would be like if we had socialized medicine?
I'm hoping that the ENT will check him out and put tubes in. It made a world of difference for Alyssa.

In other Logan news, he walks everywhere like a pro. Well, let me qualify that, he walked for about a week and now he runs everywhere he goes. I'm really going to have to get in shape to keep up with this kid. He's stronger than he know what to do with. He carries around big things like mag flashlights. I worry he's going to drop them on his toes.

Logan is a good kisser! Watch out ladies. Although, if your not carefull he'll take a little nip out of your lip when he's done. I thought he drew blood the other day. He is deffinately figuring out how to use his chompers.

Logan can make all kinds of really cool sounds. His specialty is the "raspberry". Talent. It makes him so happy. After a good raspberry he laughs and laughs. He's so cute.
