Snow from Heaven, Not Hoses!

Savannah and Alyssa have different spring breaks. It is kind of a bummer that we are just going to have to learn to deal with, because the same year Alyssa goes to Athens Academy Emma Grace starts Kindergarten at Harbins. So, spring break is going to be hard for the next 8 years.

This year we decided to pull Alyssa out of school for a couple days and take the family out to Utah to ski. Alyssa was only supposed to miss 2 days of school because we planned it over some built in snow days. Unfortunately for us, they had to use those days to actually make up for snow days. Bummer, for reals, because now I’m getting all kinds of hate mail from the Gwinnett County schools system because my A-student has missed too many unexcused days of school.

That drama aside, we had a great time. Savannah and Alyssa were excited and nervous to learn to ski. I was excited and nervous myself. I hadn’t been skiing in 16 years. It was SO much fun. I remembered how much I really LOVE to ski. I think we are going to have to make it an annual trip. The girls were awesome. They took a 2 hour lesson after which they were good to go. I thought they would be nervous about getting on and off the lift. Um, no. Neither one of them even wanted to ride with me! My little brother Matt’s in-law’s own the resort. So, he hooked us up with lessons and rentals and arranged for the whole family to be there. It was so great to be skiing the most beautiful snow on earth with my brothers and Dad and lots of cousins.

I got to hang out with my Mom and Sisters and go to lunch with my two besties. My babies did great on the plane. I just have to say, my husband is a rock star. Emma Grace and Logan don’t ever want me on the plane. It’s all Daddy. He handles them very well.
