5th Grade Graduation

Susan Headley was Savannah’s 5th grade teacher. She was a wonderful woman. She loved Savannah like her own daughter. When Savannah had her orthodontia started Mrs. Headley took special care of her. She offered to let her eat in a different room so that she could take her time and not have to worry about the other kids. Mrs. Headley asked us to make a copy of Savannah’s gym meets so that she could watch them over and over at home. She taught Savannah about patriotism and what it means to be an American. She taught her that to have an extensive vocabulary is a sign of intelligence. Mrs. Headley was a teacher & a friend to my Savannah Mae. Mrs. Headley passed away December 22, 2010. It was such an honor for Savannah & Alyssa to be asked to sing at her memorial service. They sang “For Good” from the musical Wicked. They sang beautifully. I was very proud of them and I know that Susan was, too.

We will always remember Ms. Headley as a favorite and most beloved teacher and friend. We know and have faith that we will get to study at her side again in the next life.
