Greaser!

I'm scared just looking at these pictures. Tell me she doesn't look 16. Savannah's Language Arts class has been studying the novel "Outsiders" by S. E. Hinton. In the book it talks about different social classes and gangs. During the events fo the book the main character discovers that no matter where you come from all people are the same. We all have our own problems and usually the problems we face aren't all that different from those facing everybody else.

For their last project they each pulled a paper from a hat that said either "greaser" or "soc". They were going to stage peace talks between teh gangs and see if they couldn't work out their differences. Savannah was a greaser. She was SOOOOO excited. She brought down the cover to the "grease" movie and told me that she wanted to look just like Olivia Newton John. No sweat. O.K., alot of sweat. I tried my best and I'm a little sad to say I did a really good job. My beautiful innocent daughter looks like a hard core GREASER!!!
