Savannah Runs Track- Spring 2012

Savannah participated in track this spring.  She tried the pole vault but it wasn't her thing.  So, she settled on the hurtles (dropped after the first couple of meets), the high jump, and the 1600 meter (mile) run, and 4/400meter relay.  Savannah has fun doing anything as long as she's with her friends.  She did a great job and it kept her fit as a fiddle.

Preschool Trike-a-thon - March 2012

Emma Gracie's preschool does a Trike-a-thon to benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital.  It's a hospital that treats kids with cancer.  Every time I hear about what they do I get sort of teary.  I'm so blessed that my children are healthy.  I pray every day that they can continue that way.  
Even though Logan dropped out of preschool this year, they let him participate and even gave him t-shirt for making a nice donation!  Sweet!

Logan plays at Monkey Joe's- March 2012

With all the girls in school, I have some one on one time with Logan.  It's great and we love it, but sometimes we need to play with friends.  Logan's favorite place to play is Monkey Joe's.  He can slide and jump for hours.  Thankfully Avery feels the same way and from the looks of it, so does her Mama.

Savannah 7th grade dance- Feb. 2012

The 7th and 8th grade dance at Athens Academy is quite a ritzy occasion.  I was not quite prepared for the prom dress shopping experience at such a young age.  Thankfully for me, I have a terrific daughter that always tries to choose the right.  So, the modesty issue was a no brainer for her.

All of the girls in the grade met at a house and ate dinner together and then headed for the school together.  The boys did the same at a different house.  Savannah had a magical evening of glamor and dancing with her friends.  This girl has fun no matter where she's at.  Love her.

Emma Grace meets a movie star- Feb. 2012

Emma Grace was so excited when we saw....The Cat in the Hat at the mall!  We love his show and his book.  What a treat to meet him in person.

Alyssa's 5th grade science project- Feb. 2012

As part of Alyssa's accelerated science class, each child was required to participate in the science fair.  Alyssa decided she would test the strength of guitar strings to determine which string was the strongest. She worked with her dad to test the psi each string could endure before snapping.  It was an adventure and a chance for Father and Daughter to work together.  She didn't win!  I was shocked!  But she did learn a lot and felt like she had done her best.  Great Job, Alyssa.

Mike turns 39- February

Mike got just what he wanted for his birthday...spending time with his kiddos.  How happy I am that my husband is such an incredible dad.
